Arta Ajeti is a Montreal-based artist working primarily in drawing. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Painting and Drawing at Concordia University and holds a BFA in Illustration from Parsons, The New School for Design. Before turning more fully toward her studio practice, she worked for several years as an illustrator and tattoo artist, experiences that continue to inform the close attention to surface and image-making in her drawings. Her first solo exhibition, Dreamed her Badly, was recently presented at Galerie Nicolas Robert in Montreal. Her work has also been included in group exhibitions in Montreal, New York, and Quezon City.
